　　During the 11th Five-Year Plan (2006-10) period, China’s windpower industry experienced rapid growth. The 12th Five-Year Plan(2011-15) marks the beginning of a period of sound and sustainable developmentfor the industry. This is the conclusion drawn by Shi Lishan,Deputy Director of the Department of New and Renewable Energy ofthe National Energy Administration, who is also considered one of themost powerful advocates for the Chinese wind power industry.
